Cristina D'Averso Collins

Cristina is a graduate of Villanova University and obtained a Master of Theological Studies from the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family at the Catholic University of America. She later received a Master of Science in Psychology from Divine Mercy University and, most recently, a certificate in Life Coaching from the Life Coach Training Institute. She currently serves as the Director of Catholic Campus Ministry at Monmouth University, where she has worked for almost 10 years. She also serves as the Director of the Office of Family Life for the Diocese of Metuchen, where she works to meet the diverse needs of families of all ages and stages. Perhaps her biggest area of focus is in helping to prepare couples for marriage.

In addition to coordinating the "God's Plan for Joy-Filled Marriage" program for the Metuchen Diocese, she and her husband, Brian, administer the FOCCUS inventory for engaged couples in their parish, meeting one-on-one with each couple. Cristina and Brian are the parents of two young daughters, and, in her spare time, Cristina serves as a cantor at their parish.
